Reiki Energy Healing
What is it and how it can benefit you
Discovering reiki and incorporating it into all areas of Jen's life has been a powerful transformation. This practice combines eastern philosophies with our modern knowledge of mindfulness and mental health. The body is talking and holds our emotional and mental trauma. Learning how to translate imbalances into empowering tools allows Jen to get to the root cause and truly helps the body do what it does; heal and balance. When our bodies are balanced we feel more connected to who we are, and our intuition and we have a greater sense of well-being. So many of us suffer from stress in this task-orientated world where we feel we can't slow down. Reiki helps us remain centered and balanced and connected to who we truly are.
Reiki works on all living things since a core aspect of it is universal life force, so whether it is balancing or aligning children, adults, or pets' energies it can assist in increasing energy and health. Packages are available.
What is reiki?
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation and reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Jen will use her hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.
Is it recognized in health care?
Yes! First developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s, Reiki is now used all over the world, including in hospitals, hospices, and even veterinarian clinics to complement other forms of health treatments. Reiki can be applied to both people and animals with the same benefits.
Health benefits of reiki:
Reiki aids in healing by helping people become energetically balanced —
physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

What conditions does reiki treat?
Because it works on the entire self – mind, body, and emotions, and because it is universal life force energy, reiki may be successful in all types of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing.
It may help people with:
Anxiety, Depression, and Burnout
Cancer and Side Effects of Chemotherapy
Reiki can also help you prepare for surgery, which may help boost your recovery afterward.
How does reiki work?
Reiki practitioners act as a conduit between you and the source of the universal life force energy. The energy flows through Jen's hands to you.
You determine the energy flow from Jen's hands by taking only what you need naturally. This way Jen supports you only in what you need. This makes it the perfect balance to meet your needs.
What happens during a reiki session?
Reiki treatments typically last about 50 minutes in length or can be combined with other methods of intervention, including occupational therapy for added benefits. During a session, you’ll lie on a massage table fully clothed, as Jen gently places her hands, palms down, on or just above your body in specific energy locations. Jen will use a series of different hand positions.
The length of time that Jen leaves her hands in each position is determined by the flow of energy through her hands at each location. Reiki differs from other touch therapies in that there is no pressure, massage, or manipulation involved.
What does Reiki feel like?
You may experience the energy in the form of sensations like heat, tingling, or pulsing where the Reiki practitioner has placed their hands. Sometimes, people feel sensations moving throughout the body, while other people do not perceive any change at all.
Most people feel very relaxed and peaceful during reiki treatment, and many fall asleep during the process.
